Steve Nelson
President - SRN Associates LLC

During Steve's career, working with exceptional people around the globe, he earned the title of Subject Matter Expert for two Fortune 500 companies specializing in the areas of Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Design-to-Value, Project Management and Footprint Transformation. The latter two mainly focused on facility start-ups, expansions, consolidations and production transfers. He directly championed teams that delivered bottom-line savings of ~$300M over the past 10 years.

Steve started his career working as a machinist before earning a BSME from The University of Lowell where he graduated with honors. His engineering career began in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment manufacturing safety critical components for the automotive industry. He quickly gained a deep understanding of Lean, 6-Sigma, Problem Solving, Cost Reduction Techniques and large-scale Project Management. Steve also worked in the aerospace, plastics, consumer, and industrial product industries with a heavy focus on mechanical components and assemblies.

When not working, Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends. He has been married for over 30 years and has two amazing, accomplished daughters. He loves the outdoors, especially snow skiing, cycling and golf. A few of his favorite mottos that he likes to live by are... "People First", "Work Hard/Be Kind" and "Go Big or Go Home!"
